Mixed U10/12's
Some of our primary age group played in tournaments hosted by Waverley and Inverleith during the summer term. Thanks to all coaches, umpires and parents for their support, and especially the players who performed really well. Unfortunately we're limited in the number of teams who can enter these events, but we intend to provide more matches for this age group next season.
Coaching re-starts on Sunday 29 August at Watson's.
Youth Tournament
Well done to the 22 teams to played in our Under 10s and Under 12s tournament at Watson's on 7 March. A large crowd enjoyed some excellent hockey in the best weather of the year. Congratulations to Cala, who won both tournaments. Thanks to all teams, coaches, umpires and spectators for a fun day.
Inverleith tournament
Well done to all the players who played for Watsonians in Inverleith's annual tournament at Peffermill on 6 June. It was a great day's hockey and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
All four of our U10 teams put up top performances, especially the 'yellow' team who won their tournament: Aidan Gray, Emma Stephenson, Alexandra Dumble, Susannah Law, Georgia Henderson.
Our U12s also played really well, and our U15s narrowly missed defending their trophy, finishing runners up to Dundee Wanderers.

Youth tournaments
The inaugural Watsonians Youth Tourament proved to a huge success, with around 250 players, some as young as 7 years old, taking part in U10 and U12 events.
We were pleased to welcome teams from Grange, Dunfermline, Cala and Skoolsports.
In the U10s, Watsonians 'Orange' team won an exciting final 2-1 against a talented Dunfermline team.
And it was an all-Grange final in the U12s, with some excellent hockey being played by both teams throughout the tournament.
A huge thank you to all coaches, umpires and helpers without whom none of this would have happened. The future of Scottish hockey looks very promising.
