Booking Instructions
All sessions will be £60 for the hour and take place on the Lower Astro at GWC.
The bookings will be completed on a first come, first served basis and payment will be processed via Pitchero, once booking is confirmed the Pitchero payment link will be shared with parents/carers. In order to book, please email Tom Swarbrick, senior club Vice President and PE teacher at GWC, at t.swarbrick@gwc.org.uk. Tom will then get back in touch with parents/carers to allocate a slot.
Booking guidelines:
If you have a specific coach that you would like to be booked with, then please include this request in your email to Tom.
If your requested coach or slot is not available due to an earlier booking then each youth player that has requested the in demand slot will be given one session on a rota. For example; pupil A requests a booking with Duncan Riddell, pupil B requests the same slot but is later with their booking request. Pupil A will be given the slot with Duncan in the first week and pupil B will be given the slot with Duncan during the second week. If there are other free slots with coaches in week one, then pupil B will be offered these slots too. The choice will then remain with parents/carers and pupil whether they want to take up the second slot.
Repeat and block bookings can be requested, but again, if the slot is in high demand then a rota will be created or if a different coach is available at the time then a slot with the available coach will be offered.
Information required by coaches:
Each pupil will be asked to fill out a very short Google Form outlining their level, age and specific skills that they would like to work on. Please make sure this is completed 24 hours before your coaching appointment.
Coaching content:
The coaches want to maximise the time that pupils will have ‘stick-on-ball’ and pupils will potentially be working quite hard during the session. If possible use ten minutes before the session starts to warm up and stretch close to the lower astro. If this isn’t possible then, upon arrival, please let the coach know and a physical warm-up can be built into the session to help prevent injury risk.
End of rota:
The rota above is now live, so email when you are ready to do so. However, this rota will only run until Sunday 20th April. Depending on the success and demand of these sessions we will then re-assess and potentially attempt to continue these sessions in the summer term.
